CLASSES
New in 2024, Salida Gunshop is hosting a series of non-firearm safety and classes. Some topics include Safety Awareness, Home & Neighborhood Safety, and Internet Safety. Click the button below to check out our current offerings and check back as we continue to build the curriculum.

FIREARM COURSES
We have a variety of firearm courses available and all are led by NRA Certified Instructors. Click the buttons below to browse courses.
We also offer private firearm instruction at the rate of $100 per hour. Please call the shop at 719-207-4285 for booking private lessons or for more information.
NEW TO FIREARMS?
If you are new to firearms we highly recommend taking the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Online Course Phase I and/or scheduling an hour of instruction with one of our NRA Certified Instructors.
The NRA Basics course is entirely self paced and all online. The online portion is paid to the NRA. We can schedule private lessons any day of the week utilizing our indoor range.

STEEL CHALLENGE
We are planning on hosting a Steel Challenge shoot every other Sunday, at the Chaffee County public range, starting this Sunday July the 14th.
Safety brief meeting will start at 9:00 AM. This is required to participate.
You can shoot either centerfire pistol or rimfire pistol, we will be shooting the Pendulum stage this Sunday.

LADIES
RANGE NIGHT
Our Ladies Night is held one Friday a month with our female range safety officer and instructor. We have half hour time slots from 5pm-8pm that participants can sign up – totally free. In addition, women can use our range free of charge 9am – 4:30 pm on those Fridays, space permitting.
The following day, we hold our NRA CCW -Women Only course starting at 8am.
